Turns out, MW2019 is among some of the biggest register on the my disappointment-expectation curve thus far, even compared to Cold War.Īmong the most-hyped aspects of MW2019 was the superior movement, on how it's more realistic, more impactful when your character raises the gun for ADS, the animations for reload and so forth. I would expect MW2019 to blow my socks off given that Cold War was supposed to be this rushed, inferior experience in every aspect. Since Battlepass and rank were shared with MW2019, one could reasonably dip into the multiplayer w/o having too much of grinding needed for weapon unlocks. Everyone on Reddit, both in this community and r/modernwarfare, was cheering MW2019 and promoting it as the superior experience. The main problems then were lack of maps, poor playermodel visbility and outrageous meta weapons that dominated the kill-feed. I started with Cold War multiplayer first back when Season 1 just occured. Wall of text incomming so for a TL DR: Cold War, despite all its flaws, still feels to be a much more fluid, enjoyable multiplayer experience than MW2019 due to fluid movement, engaging gunplay and better map design Honestly speaking, having played both, I don't see any reason why Cold War Multiplayer is being dragged across the mud on its own or compared to MW2019. As the mid-season refresh is occuring for Season 2 and witnessing the various reactions to the buffs/nerfs and map updates, would just like to compare it across the previous game in the COD franchise: the lauded CoD Modern Warfare (2019), which this game is constantly being compared to.
